What are Life Groups? How do I join?

Have you ever heard people talking about "Small Groups" or "Life Groups" at Saints Peter & Paul? These are groups of people from Saints P&P that gather on a weekly basis to support each other, grow in God's Word, and...well, share life together!
Last year over 140 people were engaged in a Life Group. Curious to learn more about these opportunities? Or if you're ready to jump in, reach out to Pastor Kevin to join one today.

Operation Christmas Child

Starting in October we will once again be participating in the annual Samaritans Purse Shoebox Ministry Project. As school supplies are readily available, start filling up a shoebox for kids in need. Since it’s inception in 1993, more than 180 million shoeboxes have been distributed to children in over 160 countries and territories. If you have questions, please contact Denise Coates at 296-9561 or cdenise139@gmail.com  or visit the National OCC Project Website.

Board of Directors Meeting

Members are invited to address the Board of Directors during their regular meetings. The next meeting is on Thursday, September 16th, at 6:00 pm at the church building. The current board members are Marie Cleveland, Rob Cooke, Shane Kleiman, Maura Leinonen, Alison Pontynen, John Steenport, and Cynthia Stites.

Dorcas Society

We will meet on Tuesday, 9-28-21, at 6:30.  Among items on the Agenda will be making plans for the upcoming Fall Holiday Bazaar, Bake Sale, & Tea on October 30.  We invite all the ladies in our midst to join our meetings, which end with a dessert of some kind.  We are part of the LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League), which is the official women's arm of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, with a focus on missions.  Contact Jean Pemberton (487-9412) or Dorothy Paul (482-2647) for more information.

Senior Saints

Our first get-together for the season will take place on Thursday, 9-30-21.  As usual, we plan to go on a Fall color tour of some kind.  This year, we will be going to the Porcupine Mountains/Lake of the Clouds.  We will leave the church at 10 a.m. and meander around through the countryside through Tapiola, Pelkie, etc.  Then enjoy lunch at Syl's Cafe in Ontonagon at 11:30, before heading to the Porkies.  There is a signup sheet that we'd like you to sign, for planning purposes.  The church van has been reserved, plus we may need drivers, depending on how many are going.  Contact John or Jean Pemberton (906-487-9412) for further information or if questions.  All Seniors in our midst are invited to join us at our events.
