Trunk or Treat
Saturday Oct 30th 12-3
Want to have your Halloween decorated trunk open in the parking lot and hand out candy? While the Dorcas ladies host our annual bazaar inside, we are hoping to push some traffic to them by hosting the kiddies outside with trunks open with candy.
Here’s how you can help!
1) Volunteer your trunk
2) Decorate your trunk
3) Be the person handing out candy
4) Bring candy to hand out.
Please contact Marie Cleveland email@example.com 906-370-0880 with any questions or if you are open to helping in some way. We also will have a sign-up sheet in the narthex! Thanks!
We will hold our next meeting on Tuesday, October 19, at 6:30 pm. We will be finalizing Bazaar plans. The program will be a Bible Study. We will have dessert, along with fellowship with our sisters in Christ. We welcome all ladies in our midst to join us.
74th Annual Fall Bazaar, bake sale, and tea
Saturday, October 30, from 12-3
The Dorcas Society/LWML conducts this event as a fundraiser toward missions, both local and away. It includes a bake sale, special tea table, crafts table, and white elephant table. Anyone desiring to donate items for any of them is welcome to do so. Contact Jean Pemberton, Dorothy Paul, and Marie Cleveland, for more information.
Women's Bible Study
Our women's bible study will take place this week Tuesday, October 12, at 10:30 am. led by Dorothy Paul. We will be studying Chapter 7 on "Heaven." Bring your Bibles and Study Book, if you have one. All ladies in our midst are invited to attend this time of studying God's Word and enjoying fellowship with our sisters in Christ. Friends are welcome, too. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, September-May.
Operation Christmas Child
Starting in October we will once again be participating in the annual Samaritans Purse Shoebox Ministry Project. As school supplies are readily available, start filling up a shoebox for kids in need. Since it’s inception in 1993, more than 180 million shoeboxes have been distributed to children in over 160 countries and territories.
If you have questions, please contact Denise Coates at 296-9561 or firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the National OCC Project Website at samaritanspurse.org/occ
