The Prayer Trail was constructed in the summer of 2014. The wooded trail is aptly named the Steinhilb Grove in memory of Helmuth (Hammer) & Charlotte Steinhilb, former residents of Painesdale, and former members of this congregation.
Through the Steinhilb’s love for their Lord and this church, they graciously provided the financial resources for the initial purchase of this property allowing Saints Peter and Paul to move from its original location in Hancock to this sight in 2009.
The Steinhilbs would be pleased that this trail exists for you to take a peaceful, meditative stroll through God’s beautiful creation.
So enjoy the trail. Relax for awhile. Sit quietly on the benches named Faith, Hope, and Love.
Ponder your life at the rugged cross on The Path of Thorns.
Remember, our Lord Jesus Christ often went alone to a quiet place to pray!
