College Students
College students are a core part of our active church body with 40-50 taking part in weekly worship, bible studies, service projects and events. Our College Ministry seeks to serve the students of Michigan Tech University, Gogebic Community College and local college age adults.
Outside of Sunday morning worship services, the life of this ministry takes place at the Concordia Lutheran Student Center or CLSC. We own this house and empower the students who live in it to be our hands and feet on the local campuses. Students work alongside our Director of Youth & Campus Ministry to engage in Bible studies, weekly events, enjoy monthly meals cooked by church members, participate in fun social activities, and reach out to fellow students.
In addition to our traditional students, we make an effort to connect and build relationships with our international students. Over the summer we host potlucks, Indian Teas and other social events to build relationships and support our international students who have so much to teach and share with us too.

Concordia Lutheran Student Center
The Concordia Lutheran Student Center or the CLSC as we refer to it, is a central location for all things Campus Ministry. We host weekly events and bibles studies here, monthly student suppers and make the first floor available to all students to relax, study or just hang out. The CLSC is also our student house that we make available to 6 students who would like to live here and serve in a leadership role in our campus ministry.
217 Blanche Street
Houghton, MI 49931
Most rooms/roles are full for 2024/2025. Applications to be a student leader and live at the CLSC for Fall 2025/Spring 2026 are due by Oct. 16th, 2024.
Spring Break Service Trip
We'll offer a mission trip over every spring break and in the past we have been excited to partner up with Camp Restore in Detroit. If you are interested in participating in Spring of 2025, please reach out to our Director of Youth & Campus Ministry to learn more!
